Community Supported Art -- Final Pick Up Event: Sunday, December 10, 1-3PM

Join us for the 2017 COMMUNITY SUPPORTED ART PICK-UP Event
Sunday, December 10, 1-3PM
at GrizzlyGrizzly gallery in the Rollins Building, 319 N 11th Street, 2nd Floor, Philadelphia, PA
Free and open to the public.

Grizzly Grizzly & Co. celebrates the third and final pick up event for the 2017 Edition of our Community Supported Art initiative by returning to the Rollins building at 319 North 11th Street for an afternoon reception, free and open to the public. Just in time for the holiday season, shareholders will be able to bring home artworks by Marc Blumthal and Grimaldi Baez. Like a Community Supported Agriculture program, Community Supported Art (CSA) supports a direct maker-to-buyer relationship between artists and collectors working and living in the Philadelphia region – a limited number of shares are still available. Become a shareholder now and you will be able to pick up all 6 works from the 2017 edition at the event. Join us for light refreshments, as we meet the artists of the 2017 and look back on the year's work.

For his highly anticipated CSA project, Grimaldi Baez has created a woodblock print edition inspired by his theoretical maps, mechanical drawings, collections of materials, and explorations of the city. Don’t miss this opportunity to speak to the artist about the journeys that inspired this boldly colored edition. Marc Blumthal has printed 50 unique digital prints, housed in a custom-etched folder. In his current photographic process, Marc purposely overloads his iPhone’s memory with images, the resulting prints are soft-edged, atmospheric apparitions that hover towards abstraction.

For this final pick-up event, we return to the Rollins Building at 319 North 11th Street, after months of displacement from the fire. We are thrilled to bring the project back to our gallery space. Please join us for cookies and wine, as we celebrate the close of the 2017 season of Community Supported Art -- and look back on the shareholders, artists and sponsors that made this project possible.
